Judith M Glasser PhD

Biography

I am a clinical psychologist, in private practice in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area since 1983. I am licensed in both Maryland and Virginia and currently work primarily with children and adolescents in Silver Spring, MD.

A native Washingtonian, I attended Oberlin College in Ohio and obtained a BA in Psychology in 1972. After working for one year at NIMH as a research assistant, I attended the Catholic University of America (CUA) in Washington D.C. for graduate school and received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from CUA in 1979. For many years, I combined private practice with raising my two children, now in their twenties.

Philosophy

My guiding philosophy is to treat parents and children as I want to be treated, with respect and dignity. I recognize that parents want to be effective and sometimes need assistance.
